On June 7, 2005, Basshound gave permission for shows to be hosted at the Archive:
Subject: Band Permission
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to you as we have recieved a number of questions as to our
taping policy so that people can upload our shows onto your server for
download. We would love to be included in the archive.

Re the question of lossy companion copies, Greg replied:
We are happy to have copies of our show in Mp3 format on the site. To
us, music is music. Thanks for getting back to me. We look forward to
being part of the archive.
Basshound Audio Taping/Trading Policy:
Basshound permits the recording of live shows for personal use only.
DAT, Audio Cassette, Mini Disc, and Laptop recordings are permissable
so long as they do not obstruct employees or patrons of the venue. We
reserve the right to determine acceptable recording devices and
recorded material at future dates. We cannot guarantee microphones,
recording devices, or a soundboard patch. Unauthorized sale of
Basshound recordings are forbidden.
